Spend the morning at the California State University Northridge (CSUN), a leading institution for Deaf Studies. CSUN’s undergraduate program offers a quality education in a variety of deaf-related fields and provides unique experiential opportunities. Go on a comprehensive tour of the campus and meet with an academic advisor to learn about the school’s academics and student life. Visit the Getty Museum with a sign language interpretation tour to learn about the extensive collections of artwork. After, take a walking tour of the Getty Center, taking in the unique architecture of the buildings and gardens on the grounds. End the tour with free time for students to explore the exhibits.
Attend an interactive masterclass and participate in a workshop at the Deaf West Theatre. Taught by a professional deaf actor, students learn fun improv-style exercises utilizing American Sign Language (ASL) and put on their own performances at the end. Discover the art and science of film production at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures* with a tour conducted in both ASL and English.
