Program Overview

Part language immersion part cultural exploration, students on this program will not only come away with valuable language skills but also a deeper cultural and historical understanding and appreciation of these major European destinations.

This program provides the perfect mix of sightseeing, real-life learning opportunities and local interactions that will test the students language and cultural knowledge. Students will leave their trip as true global citizens having to navigate differing languages, currencies and cultures in order to perform certain tasks and achieve their goals.

There will also be plenty of time to see and explore some of the local neighborhoods in each destination.

Destination Highlights

This European Adventure will both immerse and introduce your students to a number of different and unique European cultures and peoples. Starting in the vibrant capital of Ireland, Dublin, we’ll explore the city’s iconic sights and put a little Irish spring in our step as we explore the cobbled streets and soak up the friendly culture.

Continuing our British and Irish heritage theme we head to beautiful and rugged Wales visiting a Medieval Castle before we cross over into England and seek out Shakespeare’s birthplace - Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Students will spend time in one of the most exciting capitals in the world - London enjoying not only the main sights but also local neighborhoods and interacting with local artisans and business owners in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

As we cross the channel into Paris, the city of Light, our unique program allows for not only artisan workshops in bohemian Montmartre but also a valuable visit to a higher education establishment, the Sorbonne, during a visit to the Latin Quarter, providing invaluable insights into the life of a Parisian student. There will be time to explore this chic city on your own and further test out your language skills!

Students will have a chance to pay their respects as they visit the D-Day beaches in Normandy and learn in more depth how the important events played out during a guided visit to the Arromanches Museum. See history, culture and language combine and come alive on this fantastic journey through these vibrant and diverse key cities of Europe.

Learning Outcomes

Students on the program will benefit from language immersion through time spent interacting with local business owners and artisans to interviewing current students during their time in the Latin Quarter. Having learned key insights and had various opportunities to practice their language skills students will then work on final project to include a video submission of an interview conducted with a current student at the Sorbonne University covering the insights into the life of a Parisian student.
