Part language immersion part cultural exploration, students on this program will not only come away with valuable language skills but also a deeper cultural and historical understanding and appreciation of these major European destinations.
This program provides the perfect mix of sightseeing, real-life learning opportunities and local interactions that will test the students language and cultural knowledge. Students will leave their trip as true global citizens having to navigate differing languages, currencies and cultures in order to perform certain tasks and achieve their goals.
There will also be plenty of time to see and explore some of the local neighborhoods in each destination.
This European Adventure will both immerse and introduce your students to a number of different and unique European cultures and peoples. Starting in the vibrant capital of Ireland, Dublin, we’ll explore the city’s iconic sights and put a little Irish spring in our step as we explore the cobbled streets and soak up the friendly culture.
Continuing our British and Irish heritage theme we head to beautiful and rugged Wales visiting a Medieval Castle before we cross over into England and seek out Shakespeare’s birthplace - Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Students will spend time in one of the most exciting capitals in the world - London enjoying not only the main sights but also local neighborhoods and interacting with local artisans and business owners in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
As we cross the channel into Paris, the city of Light, our unique program allows for not only artisan workshops in bohemian Montmartre but also a valuable visit to a higher education establishment, the Sorbonne, during a visit to the Latin Quarter, providing invaluable insights into the life of a Parisian student. There will be time to explore this chic city on your own and further test out your language skills!
Students will have a chance to pay their respects as they visit the D-Day beaches in Normandy and learn in more depth how the important events played out during a guided visit to the Arromanches Museum. See history, culture and language combine and come alive on this fantastic journey through these vibrant and diverse key cities of Europe.
Depart the U.S. today for your overnight flight to Dublin, Ireland.
Hello Dublin! Meet your tour director and check into your hotel.
Take in the sights at Phoenix Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity College and the Book of Kells. Visit Dublin city walk including O’Connell Street, Parnell Square and Henry Street. Traditional public house dinner. Optional Irish folklore evening.
Ferry to Holyhead across the Irish Sea. Travel to North Wales and visit Snowdonia National Park and experience a guided educational Welsh Medieval Castle visit.
Travel to London after stopping in Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace. Also included is a historic Stratford Town walk. Phantom of the Opera (optional) performance later this evening.
Morning guided sightseeing of London including viewing Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey (participating in communion if possible) and a guided tour of the Tower of London. Later this afternoon, discover the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the smallest borough in London visiting areas such as Notting Hill, South Kensington, Chelsea and Knightsbridge and meeting with local business owners/ artisans to learn more about daily life in this vibrant borough. Dinner in Covent Garden. Or perhaps attend an arts workshop held at the Barbican Center.
Travel to Paris via the Eurostar Channel crossing. Take a city walk after which there will be time to discover Paris at leisure on your terms. Perhaps visit Conciergerie or Musee d’Orsay. This evening spend time in the Latin Quarter visiting one of the higher education establishments such as the Sorbonne with dinner included in the Latin Quarter.
This morning ascend the Eiffel Tower for dramatic views across the city. After some free time enjoy an included Crêperie Dinner and perhaps enjoy an optional Versailles guided visit including the State Apartments, Hall of Mirrors and the Gardens of Versailles. Pay a visit to L’Opera Garnier this evening.
Today we dive into the art of Paris with a tour director led walking tour of Montmartre. Later we’ll participate in an art workshop or visit with an artist. This evening, you’ll be able to enjoy dinner of your choice in Montmartre before meeting up to participate in a river cruise along the Seine.
Travel to Normandy via Honfleur and Rouen. A Tour Director leads students on a sightseeing trip of Rouen Cathedral and the Old Clock.
Normandy Arromanches Museum guided visit. Visit D‐Day beaches, after which there will be time for activities and a picnic on the beach.
Return to Paris where there will be free time before enjoying a farewell dinner.
Depart Paris for the return journey home.

Students on the program will benefit from language immersion through time spent interacting with local business owners and artisans to interviewing current students during their time in the Latin Quarter. Having learned key insights and had various opportunities to practice their language skills students will then work on final project to include a video submission of an interview conducted with a current student at the Sorbonne University covering the insights into the life of a Parisian student.
