Setting a solid example of the nation’s third branch of government in stone, the U.S. Supreme Court resembles a Roman temple.
Reflect on the history and memories of leaders and citizens who forged U.S. freedoms. See where the English settlers began to colonize America and experience traditional craftsmanship at Colonial Williamsburg. On a visit to Ford’s Theatre, get into the dramatization of history where John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Lincoln and go to Peterson’s House, where Lincoln was surrounded by support in his final hours. Throughout the trip, take time to reflect with visits to the Iwo Jima Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

This evening, take a dinner cruise on the Potomac River with live DJ entertainment.
After breakfast at the hotel, travel to Colonial Williamsburg for a guided tour. Step back in time to the 18th century at the world’s largest living history museum to learn from costumed storytellers about the colonial way of life before the American Revolution. For lunch, dine at the King’s Arms Tavern, an authentic reproduction of a public house from 1772. Spend the rest of the afternoon in Fredericksburg, exploring with free time. Return to Washington DC in time for dinner and games at Dave & Buster’s.
